WINDSHIELD SENSORS

Rain Sensors
A rain sensor automatically turns on your windshield wipers when it starts raining. It is usually located near the rearview mirror.

When rain is detected, the system adjusts the wiper speed based on how heavy the rain is. You can turn the feature on or off using a switch on the steering wheel or dashboard.

Keep the sensor area clean, so it works properly. Important: Turn it off before going through a car wash to avoid scratching the windshield.

Rain sensors help keep your view clear so you can drive safely in wet conditions.
What is a Condensation (Humidity) Sensor?
A condensation sensor detects moisture on the inside of the windshield. It is mounted near the rearview mirror inside a small black housing.

When fog or moisture is detected, the system automatically directs air to the windshield to clear it and improve visibility. In some vehicles, it will also turn the defrost on and off automatically.

These sensors are common in vehicles with automatic climate control and help prevent windshield fogging in humid or rainy weather.

What is a Heated Windshield?
A heated windshield uses thin heating wires inside the glass to melt ice, snow, and fog.

It improves visibility in cold weather and helps prevent wiper blades from freezing to the windshield. Some heated windshields work together with a condensation sensor to reduce fog automatically.

This feature adds safety and convenience, especially in cold or damp conditions.
